About Us

About the Boys & Girls Clubs of Waco

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Waco opened its doors in 1909, making it the oldest Club in the state of Texas. We now have two branches to serve our youth, both located right here in Waco.

We are a part of the national organization, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, which serves over 3 million kids at over 3,000 Clubs nationwide.

We provide a basic core of programs which include: Health & Physical Education, Citizenship & Leadership Development, Personal & Educational Development, and Social Enrichment & Art Appreciation.

We offer our programs and services to all young men and women, ages 6-18, at two locations in Waco. A large majority of our membership continues to come from low-income and single-parent households. The Club provides a van route in order to facilitate transporting members from their schools to the Clubs throughout the school year. Our average daily attendance between both Clubs is 125 kids during the school year, and over 200 kids during the summer months.
